Raina Rose
| rainarose.com

The second daughter of a country music historian & a jewish poet, americana soul singer Raina Rose revels in sharing with you her beautifully twisted, yet refreshingly optimistic perspective on the world. With renowned upright bass player, Andrew Pressman, the duo has a charming and compelling live show.

"...bursting with talent" - WFUV NYC, John Platt

"Raina Rose's fourth full-length album, When May Came, will surprise you with its cohesion and simplicity. Between her big voice, with its unusual blend of twang and jazziness, and her whimsical sense of storytelling, Rose is definitely not just another boring indie folk songstress." - Redefine Magazine, Feb 2010

Carrie Elkin
| carrieelkin.com

TCarrie Elkin is a soulful singer with a gypsy spirit, a songwriter with a keen eye. Inspired by her travels and the many places she has called home-- Ohio, New Mexico, Colorado, Boston, Austin--she documents the human condition with sensitivity and humor, crafting songs that have garnered attention at prestigious songwriting contests, including Mountain Stage NewSong and the Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist Showcase.

Carrie is a born performer, possessing an infectious energy that cannot be contained. As Maverick Magazine so eloquently put it: "We have never seen a performer so in love with the act of singing. Onstage Elkin was simply a force of nature." With her dazzling voice and unpretentious charm, she wins over new fans at every show, whether playing at a headlining club gig, singing the national anthem in front of 20,000 at a Chicago Bulls game or opening for artists like Jesse Winchester, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Greg Brown.

"...one of the most exciting and complete songwriters in Austin today..." - Backroads Magazine

"Very few people in this world can captivate an audience with just a voice and a guitar the way Carrie Elkin can." - Athens Music Network

Ticket info

Deva Premal
| www.devapremal.com

Deva Premal's pure voice and the ancient mantras she sings are a potent combination that is calling to an ever-increasing number of people. Her soulful rendering of these timeless sounds strikes a powerful chord - whether it's for a private audience with the Dalai Lama, motivational speaker Anthony Robbins, actress-singer Cher or in front of hundreds or thousands of adoring fans around the world.

Miten, who plays guitar and sings harmony, also performs his own songs of celebration. During their concerts, Deva Premal & Miten invite the audience to experience the performance without the customary applause. This creates a deep silence, a connection between performers and audience that invites stillness and introspection. Says Miten, "The true purpose of our music is to awaken a longing in the heart for that which is omnipresent: the experience of silence and meditation. It's not about entertainment - it is simply our spiritual practice."

Deva & Miten are accompanied by Nepalese flute maestro Manose. Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, Manose has performed extensively with them and is featured on their new CD release, Password.
